How to tell your parent you wanna be famous?

Okay, I really wanna be famous. I know it takes a lot of work and there are BIG chances I might not even make it big but, I still wanna try. I always get this feeling that I dont just wanna live like an everyday person, I wanna be in California making movies. So, how should I tell my parent I wanna be famous? And does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get started?
