Mare has sore attitude?

Anyone who tells you that riding a horse helps it adjust is wrong... groundwork is key and you can go months without riding her if you reinforce authority on the ground. You must not let her think that the only way she can do something for you is if she gets something in return. It's like giving a child candy then asking him/her to clean their room. You need to show her that you are calling the shots.
