Why do most adults not like animated films?

For example, my mother refuses to watch an animated film. No matter how good the rating, reviews and praise from me and the critiques she wont see one with me. I have no idea why, animated films have so much emotion and heart and they are always fun and are feel good movies. Why wouldn't someone want to be a part of that?
