Can eating too much gr make a pony nervous and hyperactive ?

My pony's personality seems to have changed overnight. He has become nervous, not wanting to be touched, and seems hyperactive. He has been out grazing continually for a couple of weeks. This is our first pony and we can't understand why he seems to have changed. Please help. Thank you
